Mia Gavana

Mia Gavana has extensive experience in the sports and recreation sector, currently serving as an Active Communities Instructor and Swimming Teacher at Edinburgh Leisure since April 2018. Mia also volunteered at Live Borders from January to June 2022 and held roles at enjoyleisure as a UKCC Level 1 Trampoline Coach and Lifeguard, as well as providing relief staff support. Other experience includes working as a Retail Salesworker at Sainsbury's during a nightshift and as a Waitress at HOUSE OF SOUTRA LIMITED. Mia began their career as a Sales Representative for Avon. Educationally, Mia holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sports and Exercise from Edinburgh Napier University and a Higher National Diploma in Sports and Exercise from Edinburgh College, complemented by high school qualifications from Earlston High School.
