Amanda Murney has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Amanda started their career in 2010 as a Platoon Commander in the Australian Army, where they served until 2012. Amanda then took on roles as Corporate Governance & Schedule Manager and Standards and Regulation Engineer in the same organization from 2012 to 2015. During this time, they also worked as an Assessor at UNSW from June 2013 to December 2014.

In 2015, Amanda joined the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group as a System Engineer and worked there until 2018. Amanda briefly served as a Maintenance & Compliance Engineer in the Australian Army from February to August 2016.

From 2018 onwards, Amanda's focus shifted towards systems engineering and assurance management roles. Amanda joined Downer in 2018 and served as a Senior Systems Engineer until June 2020. Amanda then took on the position of Lead Systems Engineer from December 2019 to February 2022, where they established and managed systems engineering frameworks for the Warrnambool Line Upgrade Project. Their responsibilities included requirements management, verification and validation, configuration management, and systems integration.

In May 2022, Amanda joined Ediom Pty Ltd as a Systems Engineering and Assurance Manager. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the management of systems engineering and assurance processes.

Amanda Murney completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Australia between the years 2005 and 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science in Project Management from UNSW, completing it from 2010 to 2012. Amanda then went on to earn a Master of Engineering in Maintenance and Reliability from Federation University Australia, which they completed between 2014 and 2017.
