Scott I. Aaronson is the Senior Vice President of Security and Preparedness at the Edison Electric Institute. Scott has been with the company since 2016 and in their current position since January of 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President, Security and Preparedness from June 2016 to January 2020. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Managing Director, Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Senior Director, National Security Policy. From 2009 to 2013, they were the Director of Government Affairs. Prior to their time at Edison Electric Institute, Aaronson worked as a Legislative Director for US Rep Jackie Speier from April 2008 to January 2009 and as a Senior Legislative Assistant for Senator Bill Nelson from January 2001 to December 2007.
Scott Aaronson graduated from Manalapan High School in 1998 and then went on to study journalism at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After a brief stint in the corporate world, they decided to return to school and earned their MA in political management from The George Washington University. Scott is currently enrolled in an executive training program for management at the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School.
