Nicole Kousmanidis

Nicole Kousmanidis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nicole is currently working as an Associate Director, Corporate Counsel at Editas Medicine since April 2022. Prior to this, they were an Associate Director, Research & Development Counsel at Alkermes from August 2020 to April 2022.

Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, Nicole worked at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in multiple roles, including Assistant Director, Innovation Contracts from March 2020 to July 2020, Manager, Research Contracts from July 2019 to July 2020, Licensing Associate from January 2019 to July 2019, Licensing Specialist from August 2018 to January 2019, and Technology Transfer Compliance Specialist from June 2018 to September 2018.

Nicole also gained legal experience at McLaughlin Law LLC, where they worked as an Associate from September 2016 to June 2018. Additionally, they served as a Student Attorney at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center from September 2015 to May 2016 and as a University Hearing Representative at the University at Buffalo from September 2014 to May 2016.

Nicole's early career included positions such as a Summer Associate at Smith, Sovik, Kendrick & Sugnet P.C. in 2015, a Labor and Employment Law Extern at Erie County Medical Center Corporation from February 2015 to May 2015, a Law and Appeals Bureau Intern at the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office from June 2014 to July 2014, and an Assistant Technician at Syracuse Eye Center from May 2011 to May 2014.

Nicole Kousmanidis attended Fayetteville-Manlius Senior High School for an unknown duration and did not obtain a degree. Nicole then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Community Health Assessment from the University of Pittsburgh, which they completed in 2013. Following this, Nicole Kousmanidis enrolled at the University at Buffalo School of Law and obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree in 2016. Nicole also obtained additional certifications in LexisNexis in 2014 and WestLaw in 2013.
