Ramya Viswanathan

Ramya Viswanathan is a Senior Associate Scientist at Editas Medicine, specializing in the development and validation of the AsCas12a gene editing platform with a focus on optimizing CRISPR delivery methods for various disease targets. Previous experience includes roles at GSK, where Ramya implemented CRISPR/Cas9 technology for drug discovery and cancer epigenetics research, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, studying Alzheimer’s disease. Ramya's early career includes positions in nanomedicine research and quality assurance at leading companies, alongside training in medical genetics and laboratory techniques. Ramya holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and the University of Mumbai.
