Tamara Van Biert

Tamara Van Biert has extensive experience in library management, currently serving as the Manager of the Castle Downs branch at Edmonton Public Library since January 2013. In addition, Tamara has held managerial roles at the Shelley Milner Children's Library and epl2go (Literacy Vans) within the same organization. Prior to this, Tamara served as the Director of Stony Plain Public Library from January 2008 to January 2013, and as the Head Librarian at Whitecourt & District Public Library for the year 2007. Tamara holds a Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from the University of Alberta, completed in 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Music, also from the University of Alberta, completed in 2004.
