Andrew Paul Smith

Andrew Paul Smith is a seasoned academic and professional in journalism and photography, currently serving as a Lecturer at the University of Technology, Jamaica, since September 2011, and as an Adjunct Lecturer in photojournalism. With extensive experience as an Independent Photojournalist and Educator since 1998, Andrew has contributed to prestigious outlets like Reuters and Demotix while conducting photography instruction. Prior roles include Photo Editor and Photographer/Reporter at The Gleaner Company, along with management positions in financial operations at Edward Gayle & Company Ltd. and National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited. Andrew holds a B.Sc. in Geography from The University of the West Indies, an M.A. in Photojournalism from The University of Bolton, and is pursuing a PhD in Career and Technical Education at the University of Technology, Jamaica.
