James McNeill, PhD, PE, BEMP, is a Principal Engineer at Edo since March 2022, specializing in modeling and optimal control of buildings for indoor environment quality and energy efficiency. Previously, at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, McNeill served as a Research Engineer leading sponsor-funded research for the DOE Building Energy Codes Program. As the Founder of CedarStack, McNeill developed software for building performance assessment. With experience at AEI/Affiliated Engineers, Inc., McNeill contributed to high-performance building design and energy compliance across various projects. Academic background includes a PhD in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont.
