Ashley Potts has a diverse work experience across various industries. Ashley started their career in 2007 as an Astrophysics Research Fellow at the California Institute of Technology, where they conducted research, processed data, and co-authored a published article. In 2009, they worked part-time as a Case Study and Website Editor at PolyVista. Ashley then joined Cactus Communications in 2013 as a Freelance Editor, where they consistently achieved high-quality output and met deadlines for international projects. In the same year, they also joined Schoolzilla as an Experienced Senior Reports Analyst, where they worked until 2017. From 2010 to 2014, Ashley worked as a Math Teacher at Richmond High School under the West Contra Costa Unified School District. Additionally, they completed a Spring Internship at Organizing for America in 2010. Most recently, in 2017, Ashley became the Director of Assessment, Data, and Analysis at Education for Change Public Schools. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their expertise in data analysis, research, editing, teaching, and project management.
Ashley Potts completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) with Honors in Astrophysics from Caltech from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a California Teaching Credential in Secondary Mathematics Instruction at Loyola Marymount University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Ashley obtained a Tableau Desktop 9 Qualified Associate certification from Tableau Software in October 2016.
