Javier Torres

Javier Torres is an experienced educator currently serving as a History Teacher/Humanities Teacher at Education for Change Public Schools since June 2015, where Javier also held the role of Grade Level Chair in 2018 and collaborated with the network wide curriculum working group in 2024. Prior experience includes teaching humanities at Aim High from June 2016 to June 2018 and managing accounts at Social Imprints, where Javier provided analytical insights and managed projects for Fortune 100 companies between December 2014 and August 2015. Earlier roles include serving as a Literacy Mentor at Berkeley United In Literacy Development from April 2012 to May 2014 and interning at the Berkeley Public Schools Fund, focusing on academic support and lesson planning related to Common Core Standards. Javier Torres earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley in 2014.
