Jill Abernathy

Jill Abernathy is an experienced educator and program manager with a focus on Career and Technical Education at the Education Service Center Region 13 since July 2020. Prior to this, Jill served at Lexington ISD from June 2013 to May 2020 as a teacher of Family and Consumer Sciences and Technology Applications for grades 9-12. Jill's teaching experience includes a variety of subjects such as Principles of Education and Training and Food Science, and served as a Yearbook Advisor and a Teacher Leader for the Texas Association of Future Educators. Earlier roles include Family Advocate at Texas Neighborhood Services, where Jill supported Head Start families, and an intern at Tarleton Child Development Center. Jill holds a Master of Science in Agricultural and Consumer Resources and a Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences: Child and Family Studies, both from Tarleton State University.
