Stefano Bertacchi

Stefano Bertacchi is an accomplished academic and researcher in fermentation chemistry and biotechnology, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca since November 2017. With a strong educational background that includes a PhD in Industrial Biotechnology and multiple degrees from the same institution, Stefano has also held positions as a University Lecturer, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Scientific Researcher. In addition to academia, Stefano contributes to the bioeconomy through roles such as a TEDx Speaker, Bioeconomy Youth Ambassador for the European Commission, and Advisory Board Member for ShapingBio. Stefano is active in science communication, serving as a contributing writer for Equilibri Magazine and authoring books on biotechnology with Hoepli and Edizioni Dedalo.
