Carla Cerqueira

Carla Cerqueira, MS, MBA, currently serves as Sr. Director of Clinical Development at Edwards Lifesciences, a position held since February 2013, with prior roles including Director and Senior Manager in Clinical Development. In addition to overseeing clinical specialist training programs and managing various clinical affairs for transcatheter heart valves, Carla has contributed to the Biomedical Engineering Industry Advisory Board at the New Jersey Institute of Technology since May 2018. Previous experience includes regulatory and R&D roles at Maquet Cardiovascular and Datascope Cardiac Assist Division, where responsibilities encompassed FDA submissions, product development leadership, and quality auditing. Carla holds an Executive MBA from Rutgers Business School and both an MS and BS in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
