Jay Schunter

Jay Schunter is a Principal R&D Engineer at Edwards Lifesciences since June 2024, with a previous role as a Project Engineer at Thornton Tomasetti from 2021 to 2023, focusing on applied science in life sciences modeling and simulation. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Test Engineer at NuVasive, where design verification for a remote monitoring system was conducted, and as an Engineering Research Assistant at Boston University’s Mechanics of Slender Structures Lab, managing multiple research projects. Jay Schunter also held a position as a Mechanical Design Engineer for the US Navy Small Boats project, where a low-cost autonomous vessel was developed.
