Catherine Wainwright

Catherine Wainwright is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in commercial strategy and leadership. Currently serving as a Commercial Advisor and Director at EET Hydrogen since July 2022, Wainwright also holds the position of Head of Commercial at Progressive Energy Ltd. since April 2021. Previously, Wainwright chaired the Storage Health & Safety Governance Group at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from January 2021 to September 2022. With a long tenure at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, Wainwright held multiple leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer for Principal Investments and Head of Biofuels Trading. Additionally, Wainwright was a member of the Board of Directors at Stem, Inc. and chaired the Board at Lynemouth Power Ltd., leading significant biomass conversion projects. Wainwright's academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Birmingham and a BSc in Physics from Durham University, complemented by a Non-Executive Director Diploma.
