Director Of Market Development at EF Educational Tours

Megan Barrington has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Megan began their career as a Secondary School English Teacher at Cornelius Vermuyden School from August 2008 to July 2009. Megan then moved on to Mayflower High School, where they worked as a Secondary School English Teacher from August 2009 to July 2011. In 2011, Megan joined EF Educational Tours and started as an Educational Tour Itinerary Specialist. Megan held this position until August 2017, during which they gained extensive experience in designing and managing educational tours. Megan then took on the role of Senior Itinerary Specialist at EF Educational Tours from September 2017 to July 2021. In this role, they took on additional responsibilities, such as hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new team members, and supporting the Customer Experience Team. Currently, Megan is working at EF Educational Tours as the Director of Market Development, where they are responsible for managing and developing EF's student tours product offered in the Canadian market. Megan collaborates closely with various teams, including Educational Programming, Marketing, and Sales Training, to guide the product's growth. Megan also maintains strong relationships with global operations teams and counterparts in the US Market Development team.

Megan Barrington has a high school diploma from John McCrae Secondary School, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Megan then pursued a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in History and Literature from the University of Guelph between 2003 and 2007. Following that, they attended Queen's University from 2007 to 2008 and completed a Bachelor of Education degree, specializing in the Intermediate/Senior Divisions. In 2017, Megan attended the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies for a Managing People: Essentials Course.
