Chee Wai Yap

Chee Wai Yap has been in the industry since 2003. Chee Wai started their career at Altera as a Design Engineer, Staff, where they worked on 12G/6G SDI IP development and created a demo design that successfully demonstrated industry’s first multi-rate SDI IP that supports 4K video transmission at up to 12Gbps in the 2014 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) tradeshow in Las Vegas. Chee Wai then moved up to Applications Engineer, Staff, where they worked on various customer issues including critical issues on areas including Programming/ISP, JTAG, power/EPE, UFM, I/O, PFL etc for CPLD families, and PLL, embedded memory, external memory interface etc for FPGA families. In 2015, they joined Intel Corporation as a Senior Staff Applications Engineer, where they were the Customer Experience Group lead overseeing deliverables from the department required by customers for the Agilex product launch/rollout. Currently, they are at Efinix, Inc. as a Principal Applications Engineer.

Chee Wai Yap holds a Masters of Eng (Microelectronics) from Multimedia University, which they obtained in 2011. Chee Wai also holds a Bachelor's degree of Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, which they obtained in 2003.
