Marco Uccelli

Deputy Director, Internal Market Affairs at EFTA Surveillance Authority

Marco Uccelli has extensive work experience in the legal field, primarily focusing on internal market affairs and investment regulations within the European Union. Marco began their career as a Legal Officer at the European Commission in 2011, where they worked on promoting the Commission's policy on investment protection and coordinating infringement proceedings. Marco also assessed Member States' compliance with Internal Market legislation and evaluated candidate countries' progress towards EU membership. In 2017, Uccelli joined the EFTA Surveillance Authority, starting as a Legal Officer and later becoming a Senior Legal Officer. Currently, they serve as the Deputy Director of Internal Market Affairs.

Marco Uccelli began their education at the Università degli Studi di Parma from 2002 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor and Master's degree in Law (Laurea magistrale in giurisprudenza). In 2008, they completed a postgraduate education in legal and business English for Italian graduates, lawyers, and accountants at EFLIT. From 2009 to 2010, Marco pursued a Master's degree in Postgraduate Master of European Law at Universität des Saarlandes. Most recently, in 2021 to 2022, they attended the Royal Academy of Arts London/Maastricht University Business School, where they earned an Executive Master in Cultural Leadership. The field of study is not specified for some of the degrees.
