Shameem Ahsan has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Shameem is currently serving as the Chairman of the World Social Innovation Forum since April 2021. Prior to this, they were a Member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization since 2017.
In 2014, Shameem Ahsan founded and served as the Past President of TiE Dhaka, an organization that promotes entrepreneurship. Shameem also worked as a General Partner at Pegasus Tech Ventures, where they were responsible for managing a portfolio of companies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Consumer services.
In 2003, Shameem Ahsan founded eGeneration, a software services company with clients around the world. Shameem played a significant role in enhancing organizational performance and transforming cost burdens into competitive business assets.
Shameem Ahsan has also served as a Board Member of Agrani Bank Limited from December 2012 to May 2019 and the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) from May 2015 to April 2019. Shameem was the Chairman of the Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) from September 2013 to July 2016. BASIS aims at developing the IT industry in Bangladesh through creating awareness and enabling a better future for the nation.
Shameem Ahsan has participated in an Entrepreneurial Strategy program at Harvard Business School Executive Education. Additionally, they have obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Oklahoma.
