Matt Murphy

Matt Murphy is a seasoned investor and board member with extensive experience in the technology sector, primarily focusing on artificial intelligence and software delivery. Currently serving as a Partner at Menlo Ventures since June 2015, Murphy actively invests in the modern AI stack and AI-first applications. Concurrently, Murphy holds board observer roles at Anthropic and Benchling, along with board member positions at companies such as Harness, Carta, Cleanlab, Egnyte, Observable, Airbase, and Vivun. Murphy's academic background includes an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
