Basma al Sherif

Basma Al Sherif is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical and healthcare fields, currently serving as an External Evaluator for the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD since June 2024, focusing on the evaluation of Human Medicinal Products. Prior to this role, Basma held the position of Scientific Evaluation Administration Manager at the Egyptian Drug Authority from January 2021, where responsibilities included scientific evaluation of innovative products. Basma's experience also encompasses significant roles in the Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Affairs, contributing to the scientific committee for the registration of non-reference drugs from April 2017 to December 2020, and working as a Hospital Pharmacist at Al Salam International Hospital from March 2010 to October 2013. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Clinical Research from Harvard Medical School, completion of a Biostatistics course, and Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist, alongside training in research methodology.
