Nathan Cantrell, MS, CPHIMS

Nathan Cantrell, MS, CPHIMS has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. In 2021, they began working as a Project Manager, Contract Deliverables at EHR Concepts. From 2014 to 2021, they served as the Director of IT Enterprise Planning at Marshall Health. From 2007 to 2014, they were the Director of Information Systems at HIMG, where they managed highly talented technical and professional teams, as well as EMR and quality initiatives. Nathan modernized the organization from traditional data center compute model with outsourced support to a fully self-sufficient virtualized and scalable infrastructure, both server and desktop. From 2005 to 2007, they were the Owner/Founder of Katet Enterprises, LLC, specializing in personal and small business computer and network maintenance, online marketing and sales, and web development. From 2002 to 2005, they were a Dell Desktop Support at ClientLogic, honing their online researching, troubleshooting, break/fix, and communication skills. Finally, from 2001 to 2002, they were a Member Services Representative at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield.

Nathan Cantrell obtained their MS in Information Systems from Marshall University in 2009. Nathan also obtained two Bachelor's Degrees from Marshall University in 2005, one in Mathematics and one in History. Prior to that, they attended West Virginia University Institute of Technology from 1995 to 2000, studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2013, they obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare and Management Information Systems certification from HIMSS.
