Sebastián Quiroga

Sebastián Quiroga has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and development roles. Starting in 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer and Head Student of InfoSecurity at Universidad Católica de Pereira, where they developed an app called JirehApp to help share food supplied by the community during a period of compulsory national confinement. Sebastián also worked on various projects related to cybersecurity research.

In 2020, Sebastián held multiple positions, including as a Javascript Developer at Platzi, where they developed a social network called Messenger using Angular and Firebase. Sebastián also worked as a Software Engineer at the Iglesia Pentecostal Unida De Colombia, where they developed an administration system and a submodule for storing and analyzing medical data of church members.

In the same year, Sebastián was a Cloud Engineer at VC@SOFT and a Desarrollador de integraciones at Transbank. In these roles, they worked on the analysis, design, and implementation of integration solutions, as well as migration projects and security testing frameworks.

In 2021, Sebastián joined Banistmo as a Software Engineer, focusing on the development and deployment of applications using NestJS and Clean Architecture. Sebastián also worked on PoCs for processing large volumes of data using AWS Apache Airflow and batch processing using AWS Boto3 library.

In 2022, Sebastián worked as a SW Specialist at GBM, where they gained experience in their role before joining Medium as a Content Writer. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Synerio, contributing to the development of software and systems.

Sebastián Quiroga's education history is as follows:

From 2017 to 2020, they attended Universidad Católica de Pereira, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Software Engineering.

In 2020, they enrolled in various courses at Platzi. Sebastián completed the Angular 6 Course, Progressive Web Apps con Angular, Curso de Angular Profesional, and Curso de Diseño para Programadores. These courses covered computer programming, web/multimedia management, webmaster, computer science, and web programming.

Prior to their time at Universidad Católica de Pereira, from 2015 to 2017, Sebastián studied at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, where they completed a Technician in Mechatronics program.

In 2022, they plan to continue their education at Platzi and will undertake the courses Introducción a ReactJS and Curso de Flutter, focusing on computer programming and computer science.

In addition to their formal education, Sebastián obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon in October 2021.
