James Vollins

James Vollins has a diverse work experience in the legal field, primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. James currently holds the position of General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Corporate Secretary at Eiger BioPharmaceuticals since 2023.

Prior to this, they were the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Corporate Secretary at BioDelivery Sciences International from 2018 until its acquisition by Collegium Pharmaceutical in 2022. At Bio Products Laboratory Limited from 2014 to 2018, they served as the Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Corporate Secretary, where they played a crucial role in the company's successful turnaround strategy and sale. James also participated in the launch of three new drugs.

From 2011 to 2014, Vollins worked as the Vice President, Sr. Assistant General Counsel at Grifols. Prior to that, they held the position of Assistant General Counsel at Talecris Biotherapeutics, Inc. from 2007 to 2011, where they focused on legal issues related to biologics and devices.

Vollins began their legal career as a Corporate Counsel at Pfizer in 2006. Before that, they worked as a Senior Attorney at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey from 1998 to 2006 and as an Associate Counsel at Ulmer & Berne LLP from 1993 to 1998.

James Vollins obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Wesleyan University from 1986 to 1990. Subsequently, they pursued a JD degree in Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law from 1990 to 1993.
