Mike Harrington B Eng H. Dip Eng Miei (Hons)

Mike Harrington has extensive work experience in various roles within the energy and technology sectors. Mike started their career at Intel Corporation as a Systems Engineer from 1992 to 1998. Mike then moved on to work at 3com as an IT Manager from 1998 to 2002. In 2008, Mike joined EirGrid as the SEM-O Technical Team Lead, a role they held until 2014. At EirGrid, they also served as the Technical & Integration Lead for the European Market Integration Project from 2014 to 2018, and as the Integrated Single Electricity Market Technical & Integration Transition Lead from 2018 to 2019. Most recently, Mike held the position of Market Integration & Modification Compliance Officer and Head of Governance, Compliance, Audit & Risk at EirGrid from 2019 to the present. Throughout their career, Mike has played a key role in developing compliance strategies and project plans to ensure adherence to energy legislation.

Mike Harrington earned their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Bolton. Mike attended the university from 1989 to 1992.
