Iris Rommerskirchen has been working in the business world since 1992. iris started as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung. In 1999, they moved to Thyssenkrupp VDM as Leiterin Anwendungstechnik. In 2002, they became Managing Director for Market (Sales, Purchase, Quality) at H. Butting GmbH & Co. KG. In 2009, they were promoted to Managing Director at BUTTING International. In 2011, they were appointed Strategic Product and Business Development Management at BUTTING GROUP Holding. In 2015, they became Senior Vice President Business & Product Development at Wilhelm Schulz GmbH. In 2018, they were promoted to Business Development Director at Eisenbau Krämer GmbH. Finally, in 2020, they were appointed Managing Partner at Rommerskirchen GmbH.

Iris Rommerskirchen obtained their Dr. Rer. nat. degree from TU Dortmund University between 1993 and 1995. iris then went on to receive their Diplom degree in Chemiker from the University of Düsseldorf between 1987 and 1992.
