Jessica Nelson has a diverse work experience, with positions at various institutions. In 2020, they served as the Director of Religion and Culture Initiatives at The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. Jessica also worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Lake Forest College from August 2020 to May 2023. In 2023, they will take on the role of Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Jessica Nelson has a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Notre Dame, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Jessica further pursued their education and earned a Master of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature from New York University from 2011 to 2012. Jessica then continued their studies at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in History from 2012 to 2020.
