Douglas Benner

With over 30 years as Coordinator of Occupational Health for Northern California Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Doug Benner brings a wealth of experience as EK Health’s Chief Medical Officer. Named among “The Most Influential People in California Workers’ Compensation” in 2010, Dr. Benner is a diplomat of the American Board of Preventative Medicine in Occupational Medicine and was certified as an independent Medical Examiner and Medical Review Officer.

As a member of the EK Health executive team, Dr. Benner works with EK Health’s leadership team in the development of the company’s managed care programs. He is also responsible for recruiting, training and supervising all Physician Reviewers, and provides oversight of managed care policies and procedures. Dr. Benner graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine, and developed a 39-year distinguished career in the field of medicine.
