Janne Kurjenniemi

Janne Kurjenniemi has a diverse work experience starting from their professional hockey career as a player for Jyp HT from 1994 to 1998. Janne then worked as a software developer at FennoScan Systems Oy and Albicantes Ltd. from 1996 to 1998. After that, they worked at PLR Consultants Ltd. as an IT/Network Engineer and a Software Developer in 1998 and 1999. In 2000, they joined the University of Jyväskylä as a Researcher and later became a Project Manager from 2003 to 2005. In 2006, they co-founded Magister Solutions Ltd. and held various roles including Principal Scientist, CEO, and Research Director until 2021. During this time, they also served as a Research Director & co-founder at Ekahau since early 2019. Additionally, they worked as a CTO at Aito Technologies from 2007 to 2008 and served on the Board of Directors at Secapp - Critical Communications from 2011 to 2019. Overall, Janne Kurjenniemi has demonstrated expertise in research, technology, and leadership roles throughout their career.

Janne Kurjenniemi completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Telecommunications at the University of Jyväskylä from 1994 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Telecommunications at the same university from 2001 to 2005.
