Fernanda Castelo is an experienced professional currently serving as the President of California Inclusive Sailing since July 2016, where Fernanda focuses on developing assistive technology for sailors with disabilities. In addition, Castelo has actively contributed as the Community Liaison for the Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors since October 2011, overseeing outreach and regatta management. With a background in beta testing assistive wearable robotics at Ekso Bionics since December 2010, Castelo has also held roles such as User-Tester at WHILL and Social Media & Volunteer Liaison for the Palo Alto International Film Fest. Early experiences include event management for Accessible Events and coordinating logistics for the Take Flight 4 Kids program, which provided flight experiences for children with special needs. Additionally, Castelo organized events at Foothill-DeAnza College, enhancing connections among organizations serving disabled populations. Educational qualifications include studies at the University of San Francisco and DeAnza College.
