Tamecca Chester

Tamecca Chester, Ed.D., SHRM-SCP, has a strong background in education and leadership. Tamecca currently serves as the Chief Talent Officer at EL Education, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at TNTP from November 2017 to July 2023, starting as a Leadership Coach and later becoming the Managing Partner of Organizational Learning and Development. Before TNTP, Tamecca was a Principal at Baltimore City Public Schools from July 2011 to June 2014. Tamecca also worked at New Leaders as a Resident Principal from June 2010 to July 2011.

Tamecca Chester, Ed.D., SHRM-SCP completed their education at several prestigious institutions. Tamecca received a Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance degree from Rutgers University in 2023. Tamecca holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of Delaware, completed in 2011, and a Master of Education (MEd) from Wilmington University, completed in 2003. Tamecca earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government from Temple University in 2000. In addition to their degrees, they obtained the certification in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance from Rutgers Division of Continuing Studies in 2023 and became a SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certified by SHRM in 2022.
