Arlene Perez

Arlene Perez serves as the School Board President for EL Rancho Unified School District since November 2020 and has been a Software Developer at NBCUniversal Media, LLC since April 2017, progressing through roles including Junior Software Developer and Full Stack Engineer Apprentice. Prior experience includes being a Founding 7th Grade Math Teacher at KIPP LA Schools, where Arlene successfully utilized educational technology to enhance student performance and developed the Common Core curriculum for seventh grade Mathematics. At Teach For America, Arlene taught 7th and 8th Grade Algebra in Spanish, led robotics clubs, and coordinated fundraising events. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from UC Santa Barbara, a Full Stack Web Developer certification from Dev Bootcamp, and a 7-12 Secondary Mathematics Certification from The New Teacher Project.
