Dirk Riedel is a seasoned procurement professional with extensive experience in operational excellence and sourcing within the pharmaceuticals and chemicals sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of Procurement Operations Excellence at Elanco since August 2020, Dirk oversees procurement operations systems, eSourcing tools, and procurement processes. Prior to this, Dirk held multiple roles at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, including Head of Procurement Business Partner Directs and Director of Procurement Animal Health, managing global sourcing strategies and supplier relationships across various categories. Dirk's career began at Bayer Chemicals in 1990, progressing through roles in chemical process development and marketing, ultimately transforming Bayer Chemicals into a recognized supplier for the pharmaceutical industry. Dirk holds degrees in Technical Business Administration and chemical process development and engineering.
