Brian Potstra

Brian Potstra is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in UI/UX and marketing design across various prominent companies. Currently serving as Principal Designer at Elastic since November 2022, Brian has previously held significant roles at Shopify, including Staff Marketing Designer and Senior Product Designer, where notable contributions included the development of the Shopify Plus brand, multiple redesigns, and the creation of a comprehensive design system. Brian's design expertise began with the establishment of a freelance consultancy and has included positions at Boltmade, Demeure, and other firms, showcasing a strong foundation in visual and interface design. A graduate of Humber College with a diploma in Industrial Design, Brian also possesses a robust background in mentoring and leading design initiatives.
