Cristina Recupero has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Cristina started their career in 2008 as a collaboration for their master's degree thesis at Selex Galileo. In 2009, they worked as a graduate student researcher at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and also began their role as a consultant at Aizoon. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a system engineer at ELV, where they were involved in the successful launches of VEGA VV01 and VV02, as well as the development of the Flight Program Software for the VEGA Launcher. Since 2014, Cristina has been working at Elecnor Deimos, where they have held various roles including GNC senior project engineer, GNC technical manager, manager of operations for the Flight System Business Unit, project manager, and currently as the head of the Mission Engineering Business Unit. Their responsibilities at Elecnor Deimos include project coordination, technical coordination, task assignment, contact with sub-contractors, integration, testing, performance assessment, and technical documentation writing for multiple projects such as EXOMARS 2020, SPACERIDER, and REVLANSYS.
Cristina Recupero completed their Secondary Level Master Degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Sapienza Università di Roma from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, they obtained certifications in various subjects including Super-Earths and Life, Introduction to Astronomy, Certificazione ISIPM base, and Abilitazione alla professione di Ingegneria Industriale.
