Michele Polito

Michele Polito is an accomplished professional in the retail and merchandising industry, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Electric City Sweets since November 2021, and as Chief Executive Officer and Designer at HYD NYC since October 2018. Previous roles include Corporate Director of Buying and Merchandising at Sugar Factory LLC from June 2019 to October 2022, Senior Buyer and Buyer at Dylan's Candy Bar from November 2013 to May 2019, and various positions at Saks Fifth Avenue from June 2006 to April 2013. Michele began the career at Dylan's Candy Bar in an Assistant Buyer role from July 2001 to March 2003 and also held the position of Director of Retail Operations for Lackawanna County from April 2003 to June 2006. Michele holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Fashion Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology, with prior education at the University of Scranton and Dunmore High School.
