Sharon Royka Theodore

Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs at EPSA

As Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs, Sharon works to promote continued development of competitive wholesale electricity markets through policy advocacy efforts at both the federal and state levels, with primary focus on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and matters related to the Eastern ISO/RTO regions (PJM, New York ISO and ISO New England). She also leads coordination of the EPSA Ethics, Compliance and Enforcement (ECE) Committee on key Federal agency enforcement and compliance matters.

Prior to joining EPSA in late 2007, Sharon was the regulatory affairs manager for NiSource Inc.’s Columbia Pipeline Group, and served as a lead company liaison for federal agency, trade association and other collaborative industry efforts. She also participated on natural gas pipeline project teams, including leading the internal company effort to develop and implement an enhanced stakeholder communication process for such projects. Sharon also served as a regulatory representative for TransCanada and Texas Eastern in the companies’ Washington, DC offices.

Sharon has a Bachelor of Arts degree in general management from Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business.
