Jean Jacques Herou

Jean Jacques HEROU is an experienced engineer specializing in hydropower and renewable energy systems. Currently serving as an Animateur de GT at Electriciens sans frontières since 2014, HEROU focuses on electrification projects in developing countries and post-disaster areas. As a Senior Expert at SOFRECO since 2012, expertise lies in control systems and modifications of electrical systems within production facilities. Prior experience includes a role as a Hydraulic Engineer at Hydroquest from 2010 to 2015, where contributions were made to renewable energy projects utilizing hydrokinetic currents. HEROU's extensive career at EDF from 1979 to 2013 involved studies on nuclear energy, hydroelectric developments, and coordination with thermal and nuclear power plants. Education includes a Doctorate in Solid State Physics and a degree in Electronics from university studies completed between 1967 and 1974.
