Prashant Kumar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in functional safety and MATLAB/Simulink development across several notable companies. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Specialist at Elektrobit since June 2023, Prashant previously held the position of Technical Lead at Tata Technologies, focusing on system safety requirements for traction inverters and torque vectoring dual clutches. Prior roles include serving as a MATLAB/Simulink & Functional Safety Expert at Nexteer Automotive, where responsibilities included the development of models according to ISO 26262 requirements, as well as functional safety documentation. Earlier experience includes positions as Functional Safety Expert, Sr. Software Engineer, and Software Engineer at Capgemini, along with software engineering roles at KPIT. Prashant holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering, obtained in 2014.
