Kenny Leonard, MBA

Kenny Leonard, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kenny currently holds the position of CEO at Element 22 Commercial Group, where they have been since July 2018. Additionally, they serve as the Chair of the Board of Directors at the company since September 2019.

Prior to their current role, Kenny was a Finance Committee Member at Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity from February 2017 to the present. In this role, they played a crucial part in tracking, managing, and forecasting the finances and assets of the organization.

From March 2018 to May 2018, they served as an Alternate Board of Director at Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. Kenny also held the position of Chair of the Greater Southwest Chapter of the MCUL from March 2016 to May 2018, where they led the chapter's legislative initiatives, provided education to credit union employees, and networked with other credit unions.

Prior to that, Kenny worked at Arbor Financial Credit Union as the Vice President of Commercial & Private Banking from March 2014 to May 2018. Kenny also served as a Member of Rotary International from July 2014 to February 2018.

In addition to their banking and credit union experience, Kenny has also been involved in community service organizations. Kenny was a Capital Campaign Committee Member at YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo from February 2017 to October 2017, focused on raising funds for facility renovations and expansions.

Before that, they worked at Celtic Bank as the Vice President of Business Development, where they handled underwriting, closing, and servicing of loans, and also oversaw the business development in the Great Lakes Region. Kenny worked at Celtic Bank from June 2012 to March 2014.

Earlier in their career, Kenny held the position of Vice President at United Bank & Trust from September 2008 to January 2012. Kenny also served as Treasurer and Board Member at Adventure Centre At Pretty Lake from 2007-2011. During this time, they also worked as an SBA Commercial Loan Officer at MCDC (Michigan Certified Development Corporation) from May 2007 to August 2008.

Kenny Leonard, MBA, obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Western Michigan University - Haworth College of Business. Kenny attended from 2007 to 2009 and studied Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to their MBA, Kenny earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the same institution. Kenny studied Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from 2000 to 2003. Kenny's education began at Clarkston High School where they received their High School Diploma from 1996 to 2000.
