Dan Proctor

Dan Proctor is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in mechanical engineering and process development. Currently serving as Process Development Manager at Element Biosciences since August 2020, Dan leads a team focused on advancing next-generation DNA sequencing instruments, while also enhancing business processes and quality standards. Prior to this role, Dan held key positions such as Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Sonendo®, Inc., where redesign projects improved manufacturability, and Principal R&D Engineer at Obalon Therapeutics, overseeing the development of electromechanical medical devices. Dan began this career journey after earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University in 2010 and has also contributed to companies like famgro, Inc., Illumina, and Sidus Solutions, LLC, showcasing a strong track record in product development and manufacturing efficiencies.
