Co-Founder and Principal Engineer at Element Human

Diego Caravana has a diverse and extensive work experience in various technical roles and positions. Diego is currently a Co-Founder and Principal Engineer at Element Human since September 2019. Prior to that, Diego was the Technical Founder and Director of CrowdEmotion, a people company focused on merging people and technology to generate and learn emotion data. Diego played a crucial role in designing the system architecture and building a full stack product for initial market revenues and profitability.

Diego's previous experience includes working as a Technical Director at Lacuna Solutions from January 2018 to January 2019, a Senior Software Engineer at Tangent from August 2017 to January 2018, and as the CTO, Software Architect, and Main Developer at a4mani, where they provided technology and innovation services for the publishing/printing industry. Diego developed and analyzed PageReam, a SaaS web-to-print application.

Diego also held positions at Demologics Ltd as the CTO, focusing on the development of CrowdEmotion, an innovative SaaS platform for market research and communication evaluation. Diego was the Chief Software Architect at aicon.me, overseeing the design choices for their products, particularly CrowdEmotion. Prior to that, Diego worked at deltatre s.p.a as an iOS Software Developer, Technical Leader, and Responsible for Software Development Methodology & Tools. Diego also served as the Project Leader and Main Developer for a Customer in Turin, where they developed and managed a web CMS.

Additionally, Diego worked as an Analyst/Senior Developer at Testawebedv, where they analyzed and developed a Java multi-threaded gateway and implemented an optimized communication protocol.

Throughout their career, Diego's roles have involved leadership, technical expertise, and innovation in software architecture, web development, and mobile applications.

Diego Caravana obtained a Laurea degree in Informatica (Computer Science) from Università degli Studi di Torino, where they studied Software Engineering from 1991 to 1997. Prior to their university education, they attended Liceo Scientifico Salesiano Valsalice from 1985 to 1991, completing their high school education with a focus on Filosofia, Materie scientifiche, and Letteratura.

In addition to their formal education, Diego Caravana has also obtained several certifications. In December 2019, they received a lower intermediate (A2) CEFR certification from ABA English. In November 2018, they completed the Software Design and Architecture Specialization from Coursera. In August 2017, they attained a beginners (A1) CEFR certification from the American & British Academy - ABA English. Lastly, in March 2017, they completed a machine learning course offered by Stanford University.
