Michael Bongartz

Michael Bongartz has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Michael is currently the Chief Commercial Officer at ELEMENT Insurance AG, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at AXA from 2015 to 2022, including CEO of AXA easy Versicherung AG, Head of Digital Sales and Partnerships, Head of Customer Management & CMO, Head of Transactional Business, and Head of Group Services and Operations Management. Before joining AXA, they worked as a Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group from 2003 to 2014. Michael started their career as a Research Fellow at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster from 1999 to 2002.

Michael Bongartz earned their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Münster, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Michael then went on to obtain a Doctorate in Economics from the same university, specializing in Marketing at the Institute for Marketing. Michael completed their doctoral studies from 1999 to 2002.
