Guilherme de Paula

Guilherme de Paula has over 12 years of experience in the embedded software and hardware engineering field. Guilherme began their career in 2008 as a Technical Advisor at Pancreum, Inc. and then went on to become the Principal Consultant - Embedded Systems (Firmware and Hardware) at IoTnMed Consulting LLC in 2011. In 2015, they became the Director of HW & Embedded SW Engineering at Loopd Inc., which was acquired by Aventri in 2017. In 2016, they worked as a Consultant - Principal Embedded Software Engineer at Plastc, Autonomic Technologies, and Potrero Medical. In 2018, they became a Consultant - Principal R&D Engineer, Embedded Software at Pulse Biosciences, Inc. and in 2019 they were a Sr. Staff Firmware Engineer, BLE at Enlighted Inc. Guilherme is currently the Sr. Director of Firmware Engineering at Element Science, Inc.

Guilherme de Paula has a diverse educational background, beginning with a Technical High School from CEFET/Escola Técnica Federal de Campos, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Guilherme then earned an A.S. in Pre-Engineering from Siena Heights University. Guilherme went on to obtain a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Indiana Institute of Technology, followed by an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Western Michigan University. Guilherme is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, which is incomplete.
