Jenny Thurber

Jenny Thurber has extensive work experience in the mental health and addiction treatment field. Jenny worked as the National Clinical Outreach Director at Elements Behavioral Health from March 2017, where they focused on creating unique programs to address treatment gaps for addiction and mental health disorders. Prior to that, they served as a Regional Clinical Liaison at Mirror Lake Recovery Center from April 2016 to February 2017, helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction. Jenny also owned and operated ClearView Counseling Services from February 2015 to February 2016, where they provided personalized outpatient care for individuals of all ages facing various struggles. Jenny worked as a Therapist at Recovery Resources, Inc. from July 2014 to January 2015, assisting families and individuals with addiction and codependency issues. Additionally, Jenny has experience in guest services and hospitality management, as they served as a Guest Services Manager at Homewood Suites by Hilton Daphne, AL from July 2010 to August 2014, and as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotel from July 2010 to July 2013. Jenny also worked as an Admissions Unit Clerk at Altapointe Health Systems from June 2013 to December 2013. Jenny's work experience also includes being a Group Therapist at Wave of Hope, an adolescent outpatient treatment program, from June 2012 to March 2013. Overall, they have a diverse range of experience working in various roles within the mental health and addiction treatment field.

Jenny Thurber completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Criminal Justice at The University of Alabama from 2003 to 2007. Jenny then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, studying between 2012 and 2014. In addition to their degrees, Jenny also obtained the certification of PLPC (Professional Counselor) from the Missouri Committee for Professional Counselors in November 2018.
