Julianne Curlis

Julianne Curlis is a compliance associate at Elephant Insurance since March 2022, with previous experience as a member of the Board of Directors for the Literacy Council of Middle Tennessee from November 2022 to September 2023. Julianne served as the interim Executive Director for the Literacy Council from November 2020 to October 2021, where oversight of operations and strategic planning occurred, supporting over 200 volunteers and 2,000 students. Additional roles include Assistant Director of Public Relations and Business Development at the Literacy Council, an Event Services Intern at the University of Tennessee Non-Credit Programs, and a CED Clinic Student Attorney at the University of Tennessee College of Law. Julianne began the career in customer service as a receptionist at 21st Mortgage Corporation and as a sales associate at Grays Family Department Store, complemented by a writing internship at Foreign Translations. Julianne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
