Mel Iverson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They began their career as a Public Relations and Community Engagement Intern with the US Navy in 2010. In 2011, they joined Elephant Insurance, where they held multiple positions, including Customer Service Team Lead, Training Supervisor, Customer Service Operations Manager, and Head of Customer Service Operations. During their tenure at Elephant Insurance, they made notable contributions in bridging communication gaps between departments, improving process documentation, and identifying professional development needs.
In addition to their work at Elephant Insurance, Mel also served in the US Navy Reserve. They held roles such as Career Counselor, Hazmat Technician, Communications Specialist, and Logistics Specialist. Mel continued their military service by mobilizing for Air Cargo Operations with the US Navy from 2020 to 2021.
