Rohan Shankar has a diverse work experience in the motorsport industry. Rohan co-founded Elettri Co in 2018, a startup focused on designing and integrating electric powertrains for various vehicles. Prior to that, they worked as a lead project manager at MOMA Motorsport Management from 2016 to 2021, where they spearheaded the world's first truck racer development program. Rohan also worked as a race operations and project manager at the same company from 2013 to 2014, overseeing race operations and managing the national launch of the Nissan GTR. Additionally, Rohan has experience as a race car driver in the Formula 1300 Indian National Racing Championship, where they placed 5th overall in 2013. Rohan also served as the chief scrutineer for the FIA Formula One Indian Grand Prix from 2011 to 2013, managing technical operations and leading the scrutineering team.
Rohan Shankar has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Automotive Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, which they obtained from 2014 to 2015. Rohan also studied Italian Language and Literature at Università per Stranieri di Perugia in 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Automobile Engineering from Anna University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Rohan'seducation history goes back to their secondary education, where they completed their Higher Secondary education in Physical Sciences at Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao Matriculation Higher Secondary School from 1995 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, they also hold certifications as a Driver Trainer from Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and as a Technical Steward from Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).
