Andrea Cronican

East Regional Director, Medical Science Liaison at Elevation Oncology

Andrea Cronican has extensive work experience in the field of medical science liaisons and clinical genomics. Andrea currently holds the role of East Regional Director, Medical Science Liaison at Elevation Oncology, where they engage with Key Opinion Leaders in medical oncology, genetics, and pharmacogenomics. Andrea participates in professional meetings and trade shows to promote Seribantumab and NRG1 gene Fusion detection. Andrea also provides scientific support for clinical trial recruitment efforts and communicates feedback from KOLs and product users to the Medical Affairs, Marketing, R&D teams, and leadership.

Prior to their role at Elevation Oncology, they worked as a Senior Medical Science Liaison, Urologic Oncology Lead at Veracyte, Inc., where they provided information on genomic testing for prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer. Andrea supported the sales team on the Decipher product line and built relationships with key accounts nationally and internationally.

Before Veracyte, Inc., Andrea worked at GenomeDx Biosciences Inc./ Decipher Biosciences as a Senior Clinical Genomic Liaison and at GenomeDx Biosciences Inc. as a Clinical Genomics Liaison. In these roles, they interacted with urologists, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists, providing information on Decipher products for prostate and bladder cancer. Andrea also built and maintained relationships with key accounts, provided scientific exchange, and offered customer insights to guide strategic direction.

Earlier in their career, Andrea worked at the University of Pittsburgh, where they served as a Research Specialist IV, conducting research on antidotes to acute toxicity and managing experimental therapeutic development projects. Andrea also worked as an Instructor and Post Doctoral Associate, contributing to instructional efforts and research protocols.

Andrea's career began at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they served on the Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics admissions committee and conducted research projects as a Graduate Student, ultimately earning their PhD.

Throughout their career, Andrea has demonstrated their expertise in medical science liaison roles and their strong background in genomics and research.

Andrea Cronican pursued their education with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from James Madison University between 1997 and 2001. Andrea then furthered their studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2001 to 2006, earning a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics.
