DAVE SMITH

Dave Smith has extensive work experience in the engineering field. DAVE started their career in 1975 at Virginia Electric Power as a Substation Protection Design Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and coordinating protection systems for utility substations. DAVE also supervised a group for relay protection and fault coordination studies. In 1978, they moved to U.S. Steel Corp as a Substation Design Engineer. During their time there, they focused on designing substations. In 1981, Dave joined Elmac Corporation as the Chief Engineer and held this position until 1984. In this role, they had overall responsibility for engineering activities. In 1988, they worked at Elgin National Industries as an ENG. MANAGER for an unknown duration. Later in the same year, they joined Gilbert Electrical Systems as the Manager of Engineering. In this position, they managed the engineering design department and coordinated all aspects of projects from proposal to construction and startup.

Dave Smith attended Bluefield State College from 1972 to 1975, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. DAVE then went on to attend West Virginia Tech from 2002 to 2006 and obtained another Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
